Fighting fleas is not an easy task. It’s like the Star Wars Trilogy, it’s going to take you a lot of time to finish them.

Kitten’s first toy:Green guy
Jay and I went to Target and saw some stuffed toys in the sale section. As soon as I saw those toys I knew I had to take one home for the rascal. We named the toy “green guy” (pretty straight forward right?), after we got home I sprayed some alcohol around the toy and rinsed it with water before I gave it to our kitten.

This is Timely when he was 2 weeks old
As soon as we walked in the veterinary medical center, we noticed that it was very clean. When we first brought our kitten in, the rascal’s picture was taken for his medical record. One of their staff was so excited to see such a tiny kitten. She told us she will need to take him to another room to be weighed. It was awkward to see our little guy get taken away from us. Why wouldn’t they just weigh him in front of us? Then, I heard her showing the rascal around to her coworkers!
After he came back to the exam room, a technician came in to do a quick check. He pooped in that technician’s hand and she said the color of the stool looked normal. The vet came in to the exam room about 10 minutes after the technician left. The vet confirmed that he was about 2 weeks old and he might be a boy (a kitten’s gender is not easy to tell at this stage). As for the feeding amount and frequency, it was reasonable (rascal was fed every 2 or 3 hours, 1/3 oz per meal).

Rascal was about 2 weeks old when we decided to take him to see the vet, because we weren’t sure whether he was healthy enough to survive. Feral or rescued cats have a greater chance of suffering from all sorts of medical conditions, such as parasites and feline HIV.
The vet clinic we chose is very close to where we live and they seemed to have good online reviews. Other than reviews, reasonable visiting and examining fees are important factors that needed to be considered when it comes to finding a good veterinarian clinic. I made a couple of phone calls and compared the prices before I decided which vet I wanted to bring him to.
