Chi's sweet home

I bought this manga at Borders today. I was attracted by the title of the book, because my name is in it, and there was a cat on the cover. This comic book not only has super cute drawings, but the storyline is also similar with what happened between Timely and I. I think any kitten owner can easily relate themselves to this book. There are only two volumes available in English right now and I think I will try to collect the whole series. Looking forward to the 3rd volume in October….This manga has also released a cartoon series in Japan.

5 weeks old kitten5 week old Timely

Took Timely to see the same vet and got his six week physical exam done. Timely had a second dosage of de-wormer and he also had his first Feline Distemper shot. The vet told us that Timely will need to get another vaccine every 6 to 8 weeks until he is 2 months old. We were having some troubles training Timely to use his litter box and the vet suggested us to get a litter brand called “Cat Attract”. He said Cat Attract litter has secret ingredients that will draw your cat to use the litter box.

There are so many types of litter and the ideal choice for us should be all natural, easy to clean up, and flushable/biodegradable. There are a lot of debates about clay litter; some people believe that clay litter is bad for cats because the major clay litter ingredient, sodium bentonite can significantly expand in size once it is mixed with liquid. This is not good for kittens because they may ingested some of the litter when they are grooming themselves. Kitten owners worry that their kitten’s digest system may not be able to process ingested clay. Many cat owners claim that their cats have been using clay litter for a long time and they never took their cats to see a vet for litter-caused conditions.

In my opinion, it’s inevitable for a kitten or a cat to ingest some litter and if human beings are not supposed to eat clay, I wouldn’t want my little guy to eat it. We decided to go for the litter that matches our expectations and we bought a bag of Swheat Scoop Natural Wheat Scoopable Cat Litter.

Other than choosing the most ideal litter from human viewpoints such as price, litter types, flushable and odor elimination, etc..  Doing a litter trial is a very good way for your cat to choose his/her own litter.
